A lock out
Tell us your story. It can be about anything that you want to say. Please keep it clean. If we like your story we will post it here for others to see. A couple of days after the sadaversary of the loss of my son, Dallas, I locked my key in my van. The loss of a child is a pain that is not comparable to any other. It's almost as if you're dead and you stumble around wondering how life could still go on - when nothing will ever be the same for you. Thanks to JESUS and the strength he gives me, I can function now but it is still a hard walk. I also have a friend at UK on a respiratory so of course I had a lot on my mind. I didn't realize I had locked my self out until I got back to the van with my groceries and couldn't open the door. I did this to myself a while back in the car but my daughter had an extra key. I'm almost positive she has one to the van but when I finally got ahold of her, she can't find it. I call one of my sisters to find out if her husband knows a locksmith. He doesn't but they offer to come and I tell them no. I called my pastor to see if he knew one since he seems to know everybody. He didn't answer the phone. I asked some men standing in the parking lot if they knew the number of a locksmith. They got a phone book out of the vehicle and looked up a number for me. I felt like an idiot. The guy who answered was very nice even though it was late. I was so happy to see Keystone's truck arrive. I hated to bother anyone so late. It was after 10:00 pm. Rick was very friendly and caring and was quick to remind me that everybody gets locked out. I really appreciate the extra effort he took to show me that my insurance would reimburse. We chatted all the time and I felt better about the whole situation. Thanks Rick and keep up the great work. Debbie. Question??
I was wondering why the cops are not too eager to help when a car is locked up, even sometimes when a baby is inside. Thank You.
Answer.
I can't answer for Police every where. But it is my understanding that there are many answers to this question. Here I will list some. Todays vehicles have side impact air bags. Alot of these are located in the door making it very dangerous to the officer and anyone inside of the vehicle. Also there has been times when a policeman has been called out to help and he or she may have damged the lock on the door. then the person locked out is quick to sue the city or state for repairs. There are other reasons but this is a good start. You may want to contact your local police and get more info, every city, state and county is not the same on what is legal. If you have a problem like this call Us first and let us help you. This is what we do seven days a week.
